Kundalini Yoga is known as the yoga of awareness. Kundalini energy is thought of as being coiled at the base of the spine at the fourth vertebrae. We are all born with this energy which is awakened through “kriyas” or prescribed yoga sets, which work to move this energy upwards to the higher centers of consciousness helping us reach our full potential.
Practicing Kundalini yoga can produce powerful and dramatic results very quickly.
It is a total work out for the mind, body and spirit.
Nicole Lancaster discovered and began practicing yoga in 1995, the same year she began her training in massage and bodywork therapy. In 2008, after many years of dealing with chronic and debilitating back pain, she experienced profound healing through the practice of therapeutic yoga. This led her to seek training as a yoga teacher so that she could share this healing practice with others.

Teacher Bio:
Nicole leads a fun and energetic yoga class, teaching to all levels and encouraging students to enjoy playing in their physical bodies, while building awareness and connection to their inner life. Her twenty years as a massage and bodywork therapist informs her teaching style, helping students to find alignment and ease in asana.

One of Nicole’s regular offerings is a class inspired by Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan. These classes combine asana, breath work (pranayama), and mantra that together act as a technology to raise the vibration of the personal energy field. The result is ease of mind and body, an increased sense of well-being, and, over time, a growing sense of the interconnectedness of all aspects of life.
