5 things you don’t know about me:
I’ve changed my home address 33 times so far and I’m not military.
My favorite food group is Cheetos.
I once laid down in a pen and let over a 100 baby goats climb on me.
I am a bronze sculptor and painter with a degree in chemistry.
The last one, not only don’t you know it about me, but you shouldn’t.
What did I want to be when I grew up?
I’ve never been a planner. I do remember my younger brother wanting to be god when he grew up, but I can’t honestly say I remember a choice for myself. In retrospect that makes sense, my life as a kid was very normal and I always had a feeling of elsewhere. I’ve tried to satisfy that feeling and have seen huge amounts of our world, it’s been a colorful journey with only a few labels.
The craziest thing I’ve ever done?
Anyone who knows me knows that crazy isn’t really my thing but….two things do come to mind. There’s completely stupid crazy which required the roof of a two story house and a backyard swimming pool while the owners weren’t around. It is amazing how small a pool actually looks from that height and yes alcohol was involved. Really stupid, but really amazing at the same time.
Then there’s crazy adventure, I toured the northern hemisphere with a dance company in my twenties, in Hong Kong my friend Scott and I decided to go looking for opium dens. We found them, way on the “wrong side of the tracks”, a real different picture of humanity. We were so out of place that it wasn’t long before we started attracting the wrong attention and ended up making a run for it. We got chased through the neighborhoods they don’t show in the tour books and eventually outran a bunch of thugs. We always told people we were chased by the Hong Kong chapter of the Yakuza, it was really scary, but a total rush that was totally worth it.
